ABOUT

A graduate of University of Vermont’s School of Education, Jamie is a licensed Teacher and Reading Specialist with a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. 

Jamie brings two decades of experience in Education to her work. Her formal training and the vast majority of her work experience has focused on helping children learn to read and grow their executive function skill sets. She has served as a Reading Specialist and Math Interventionist in schools in Colorado, New Jersey, Minnesota, and Vermont, providing direct instruction to students, and supporting teachers in developing and implementing reading curricula.  

 As a private Reading Specialist and Academic and Executive Function Coach, Jamie’s  clients have benefitted from her years of experience in delivering individualized literacy and math instruction and executive function strategy instruction customized to meet each student’s unique needs. 

Jamie has completed additional graduate-level coursework and training on topics related to the administration and interpretation of the Woodcock-Johnson IV, assessment of students within general and Special Education, phonological awareness, structured language and literacy, written expression and executive function. 

An avid skier, hiker, runner, and fan of live music, she loves roaming the Green Mountains of Vermont with her husband and their two sons.
